Dive into my 25-year love affair with colours and textures. Each piece tells a story, some over a cup of tea in Frankfurt, others under the starlit sky of Mèze.
A Selection Of My Work

The Three Fates (2016)
I've always been fascinated by Roman and Greek mythology, and this large-scale painting was more than ten years in the making when I finally completed it in 2016. It depicts the Three Fates: the female personifications of fate who guided the lives (and deaths) of humans and goddesses.

Soul (2013)
Another painting I did for Mark to reflect his love of soul music, records and headphones (ten years later, they don't have cables anymore ;-).

Quarantine (2020)
Although my experience of the Covid19 pandemic was different from most people I know (I went to school every day), I was no stranger to confinement during that time either, which inspired this quick little doodle.

Flower Bomb (2018)
I like to experiment with different backgrounds and I love flowers. This painting was inspired by lush Eastern European floral patterns.

Affair In Pink (2014)
I painted this lavish lady with her companion – a flamingo – in 2014 for two of my best friends.

You’re not telling me that (2015)
When I painted this, I always had a cockney British accent in my head.

Wuthering Heights (2021)
“If you ever looked at me once with what I know is in you, I would be your slave”, writes Emily Brontë in her seminal novel Wuthering Heights. It inspired me to paint one of my personal digital favourites.

L’Étang (2019)
You shouldn't take yourself too seriously, which is why I like to draw little humorous pictures of Mark, Stella and myself. This digital one shows the two of us blissfully paddling in the Étang, the inland sea on which the lovely town of Mèze is situated.

I Want You (2009)
I had already finished this painting when my then-boyfriend and now-husband Mark came up with the idea of painting the lyrics to Marvin Gaye's I Want You (1976) all over the background.

The Magic Carpet (2017)
Your mind can take you anywhere you can imagine, which is what I love about painting and art in general. This digital painting shows Mark and I riding on a magic carpet.

L’Amour (2015)
"J'ai souffert souvent, je me suis trompé quelquefois, mais j'ai aimé. C'est moi qui ai vécu, et non pas un être factice créé par mon orgueil et mon ennui.” – This life-affirming quote by Alfred De Musset inspired me to paint this lady in hues of red and pink.

Self Portrait (2018)
As I said, don't take yourself too seriously. From time to time, I like to show off my life as a teacher, such as this not-so-serious depiction of me in utter rage in front of a classroom of precocious teenagers.
